Our client is a company which is currently recruiting for a Lead Architect to join their team and work on several high profile pharmaceutical construction projects in China.

Requirements

Degree Qualified in Architecture, Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent
Preferably a registered architect
15+ Years experience in building design and construction
Sound technical knowledge
Knowledge of the laboratory, pharmaceutical industry, and R&D facilities design is preferred
Familiar with clean room industry materials and layouts
Multinational working experience in design or construction companies is preferred
Good understanding drawings and building work specifications
Good written and spoken English is essential - Mandarin would also be an advantage

Duties

Taking a lead role on major, high-profile developments
Liaising with top-class international clients and architects and make their ideas work Able to source a wide selection of high-quality options
Able to lead a multi-disciplinary team, to resolve conflicts and deliver coordinated designs
Able to train and motivate sub-ordinates
Be able to report progress and discuss issues and solutions with the client team
Be able to communicate with all levels of staff

The successful candidate will have overall the responsibility for the achitectural design aspects of laboratory projects, coordination of the different design team activities as well as managing the day to day contract administration and assisting the Project Management team as much as possible.
